Osmosis Remedial Treatment (Blakes System)
 
1. Removal of through hull fitting (seacocks, long units etc)<1>
2. In house Gelplane Peeling of the hull.
3. Slurry blasting as required.
4. Pressure washing of surfaces to aid release of residual chemicals.
5. Monitoring of moisture content during drying and prior to application of:-
  • 1 coat of Ampreg 20 or Blakes SFE200
  • 1 coat of Blakes SFE200
  • Fill and fair surface with Finefill Epxoy Filler
  • 3 coats of Blakes SFE200
  • 1 coat of Epoxy primer undercoat<2>
  • 1 coat of Blakes Cruiser Antifouling<3>
  • Refitting of through hull fittings

<1> All through fittings are removed at customers' risk. Any fittings which have to be destroyed to enable removal or are found to be unserviceable will be replaced at customers' cost.
<2> Bonding coat between SFE200 and Antifouling.
<3> Alternative types of Blakes Antifouling can be supplied - price on request.

Payment Terms - 40% of total cost is payable on 
completion of peeling the hull

Notes.
1. Powerboat hulls with multi chines/ sparay rails - subject to 10% surcharge.
2. Above prices assume that hull does not contain any major laminate defects which may only be apparent after peeling/ blasting. If any such defects are found i.e. delamination, under bound mat, manufacturing deficiencies etc., which require additional rectification prior to treatment, we will advise and forward additional estimates.
3. Owing to the drying times varying from hull to hull, we are unable to quote firm completion dates.
4. We will not under any circumstances re-coat a hull which in our (or an independently appointed surveyors') opinion contains a high level of moisture or residual chemicals.

Masts & Spars - All sails, booms, loose running rigging etc must be removed. All turnbuckles must be in a serviceable condition - covering tapes and securing pins must also be removed. We reserve the right to make additional charge for non-compliance of the above.

Quality Control - All work (excluding peeling blasting and pressure washing) is carried out in our heated and environmentally controlled workshop.  Records are kept of moisture and temperature during application and material batch numbers are also recorded  The high standard of workmanship and attention to detail ensures the end result will be fair and smooth.

All prices are subject to VAT at the current applicable rate. Payments may be requested prior to boat collection, launching, during or on completion of the work.
